People aren’t just numbers.
Although data is important to research and business metrics, I also want to understand the story behind why. Allowing an inclusive, empathetic space for people to share their stories fuel better design decisions because it opens new perspectives that you aren’t able to see with numbers.
Stories create better experiences.
Listening to stories help me understand the impact of products I create. Without people, there is no good or bad experience; there just isn’t an experience at all. Human-centered design helps us re-humanize problems and solutions in our ever-evolving, technologically-advanced world.
Experiences should be seamless.
We build products to help alleviate frustrations, not create them. Dedicating time and space into understanding people’s needs and wants, their frustrations, and their joys help create an accessible, frictionless, and enjoyable experience.
